Consulting this very helpful section of Share-the-Wealth, I recently contacted Gary from General Refrigeration Service - 510-652-1302 - to fix a very leaky freezer. He came out the following morning, diagnosed, replaced parts and the freezer was like new in less than an hour. He is prompt, knowledgeable and fair. I highly recommend! (Jan 2018)

I just had an excellent repairman to recommend.
The refrigerator went out and by the time discovered it, all the full freezer was melting. Gary from General Refrigeration came out within 2 hours, diagnosed the trouble, replaced the starter motor, and I’m happy again! Very nice, very fast, and I thought, very fair

Please add Jonathan Mejia for appliances repair to your list. 415 792 7099. He was a can do person. Noticed problems and set himself to solving them instead of bowing out and leaving as so many people do. (February, 2017)

My full size front load HE clothes washer with dryer stacked above had a low flow problem on the cold side.
The first guy Keith Cairn in the share the wealth directory for appliance repair was a solo repair guy and was not interested in the job because its too hard to move a stacked unit out of a closet area.
I might be wrong but I felt like Mike's Appliances attempted to slime me with dollar signs in their eyes. They would not give me an estimate until they had my address. $150 just to come out and look. I said fine and made an appointment. Then I mentioned it was a stacked unit in a condo.....A stacked unit eh? add another $75 for a second tech. I said cancel the appointment until I consult with family about price. They insisted on keeping the appointment and sent a tech anyway who showed up late and pounded on the door. I did not let them in as I was sleeping for a night shift. I felt like they were rip off artists who would not take "no" for an answer.
I ended up fixing my washer for free by myself after I found an easy way to slide the unit out on $9 moving coasters from home depot. I disconnected cold hose at washer and found the inlet screen was packed with sand and rocks. Problem solved. (May, 2015)
